NovaSmart Technology proudly announce Article Management System (AMS) 3.00 Beta 1 to be released to the public.

NovaSmart need your help to provide your local translation or update from AMS 2.52 translation, so we could incorporate local translation directly in FINAL version. To ease your effort, AMS 3.00 Beta 1 include Dutch, German, Spanish that up to date to AMS 2.52 and need your help to add a few translation to make it compatible with AMS 3.00

This release consider NOT STABLE and NOT RECOMMENDED for production site.

Whats New In AMS 3.00 :
AMS 3.00 is a major release, specifically targeted to improve Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in AMS, so the article published in AMS will get higher ranking in search engine and improve relevancy. AMS 3.00 incorporate with flexible and powerful SEF (Search Engine Friendly) URL that never seen in any XOOPS publishing module such as able to relocate the article to the root, custom path, incorporate subtopic & audience in URL. Subsequence AMS 3.xx release will gradually implement other SEO technique like SEF for topics, custom tag and meta data in order to maximize relevancy.

Plugg for XOOPS Cube Legacy 1.03 released. This release includes a number of bug fixes found in 1.02. This version is still considered beta and not recommended to be installed on a production website.

Plugins that are not required to run Plugg for XOOPS Cube Legacy are no longer included in the package. Those plugins can be found in a plugin bundle package or can be downloaded individually from the Plugg website.

The originally XCL UNMG distribution repository has now a huge list of XOOPS Cube modules that can be found in Compatibility wiki reports and that should benefit from the 'common interface'. Main task is to review templates and icons set. Any volunteers with html and css skills are welcome.

After 5 month of development, NovaSmart Technology proudly announce Article Management System (AMS) 2.51 Final to be released to the public.

AMS 2.51 main target is to incorporate all "must have" features for modern article management module without sacrificing performance.

Whats New In AMS 2.51 Final:

With this release, user will have new experience in submitting and editing articles with 3 best wysiwyg editors (FCK Editor, TinyMCE and Koivi) and built-in xoops editor. User also now have ability to choose whatever editor they like straight from the edit/compose form without admin intervention. For admin, they have full right to enable this feature and even to choose which editor they want to be available to user.

User also able to add new spotlight template painlessly, can attach template preview image and given access to the template variable manipulation through php script attached with the template. Simply put the template, template script, preview image accordingly and update/install the module, everything will be auto detect and setup accordingly.

Please note, AMS 2.51 Final now 100% compatible with XOOPS 2.3 and some graphic had been refreshed.

This release considered not stable. This is last BETA version of AMS 2.50 and new features freezed (except minor). If there is no critical bugs found, AMS 2.50 Final will be release in 2 weeks time.

How To Upgrade
Please do this to upgrade to AMS 2.50 Beta 2 from AMS 2.42 or AMS 2.50 Beta 1:

1)click administrator->system admin->modules->AMS update (for XOOPS, it is box with green dot)
2)do that one more time : click admin->modules->AMS update (for XOOPS, it is box with green dot)
3)go to administrator->AMS->preference. If you already have XOOPS EDITOR and phpp Framework, just press submit without changing anything (it is a MUST to update the database).
4)If you don't have XOOPS EDITOR please change this:
EDITOR : change to DHTML
EDITOR CHOICES : select DHTML only
ENABLE EDITOR CHOICE TO USER : No (just for to be safe. Not really needed)

Xigg XOOPS Cube module version 1.21 has been released which includes fixes for several bugs found in 1.20.
